Katie Brennan Launches First Campaign Ad Highlighting Housing Expertise
Today, Katie Brennan released her first digital ad of her campaign for State Assembly in New Jersey’s 32nd legislative district. The ad, titled “Expert,” highlights her extensive background in housing policy, her track record of fighting for affordable homes, and her commitment to addressing New Jersey’s housing crisis.
The 30-second, single-shot ad traces Brennan’s journey from earning her Master’s degree in Urban Planning at Rutgers University to becoming a nationally recognized housing expert who has worked at the federal, state, and local levels to make housing more affordable.
“Housing is the single most important issue in New Jersey right now. It’s the number one reason why the state is so expensive,” said Katie Brennan on launching the ad. “I’ve dedicated my entire career to making housing more affordable, and I’m running to bring that fight to Trenton. The system is broken and we need someone who understands housing policy to fix it.”
The ad specifically touts Brennan’s work helping secure the largest investment in affordable housing in New Jersey history and creating a national model hospital-housing partnership for families with serious medical needs.
Katie Brennan has made housing the centerpiece of her Assembly campaign, along with improving public transit and bringing accountability to state government. Her platform includes strengthening tenant protections, regulating rent price algorithms to stop excessive rent increases, and making it easier to build homes that families can actually afford.
Brennan is running in the Democratic primary for State Assembly on an independent slate with Hoboken Mayor Ravi Bhalla. They are the only candidates running without the support of any party bosses or political machines.
The 32nd Legislative District includes parts of Jersey City and Hoboken. The primary election will be held on June 10, 2025.
